I’ve talked before about how the contrast between white and black can be a really powerful statement in an engagement ring, and this ring exemplifies that contrast to perfection. The silver band is perfect — you don’t want to set a black diamond in gold — and the rock in the middle is nice and big. While the central rock draws attention, it’s perfectly balanced and rounded out by a ring of standard white diamonds around it. The way the light interplays with the central black diamond and the stunning circle of whiteness is really amazing. To keep the elegance going, this black diamond engagement rings’ band contains a beautiful stripe of diamonds down the sides as well. This is probably my favorite because not only does it have the modern power of the black diamond, it’s really more of a classic elegant piece too — the old-school white diamonds and thin silver band are a classic look, and the proportion of rock to band is perfect.
